ROSARY: HONOR MARY, END THE WAR

end the war

Many nations of the world are seriously preparing for World War III with funding of researches in different weaponry. Numerous weapons of mass destruction have been built waiting to be launched on the enemy nations. Many scientists are even in their laboratories now trying to complete the construction of newly designed weapons.

Majority of us who have no weapon have at one time thought about running to our villages to hide in caves or under the rocks. We have at a point thought of the safest place to be if eventually, the WWIII breaks. But during a war, where really is safe to be?

While nations prepare soldiers and weapon, and their citizens think of safe havens, there came the pandemic that no one prepared for. It caught the mightiest nations and weakest of them all unaware; CORONA VIRUS (COVID19).

COVID-19 as simple as it sounds has demonstrated how deadly it is, bringing nations to their knees, closing all activities and shutting down economies. It is a war! A war that no one prepared to fight, no weapons prepared to combat it. All the missiles in the artilleries are of no use, all the guns and mighty fighter jets have no ways to save the dying lives. The world ran out of ventilators, shortage of testing kits render the containment of the spread less effective, not to mention the poor state of health facilities in many countries.

COVID-19 has put the uniform back on the bodies of many retired health practitioners; many scientists who were not recognized have suddenly been called upon to resume at the laboratories to find vaccines. All of a sudden, the heath sector became our soldiers on the front line of the war. The world owes them a lot of appreciation for swinging swiftly unprepared to action against this enemy of humanity.

Yes and indeed the world prepared no weapon and have none ready to combat any eventuality of any pandemic, but we have a weapon that has always lived with us, a weapon that restores peace and order and that is still as effective as ever; THE ROSARY.

rosary

During the turbulent times in the world and most especially during World War II, there were many miracles recorded on the account of praying the rosary. Sr. Mary Sheila O’Neil in her text reported in the October-December, 1979 issue of Garabandal Magazine narrated her encounter with a Canadian soldier; how his squadron led by Stan Fulton lost no one in the battle line (click here to learn more about this story)

In another account, on August 6, 1945, during World War II, an atomic bomb was dropped on the town of Hiroshima, Japan and about 140,000 people were either injured or killed. There was a home of eight blocks (about 1 kilometer) from where the A-Bomb went off. This home had a church attached to it which was completely destroyed, but the home survived, and so did the eight German Jesuit missionaries who prayed the rosary in that house faithfully every day. These men were missionaries to the Japanese people, they were non-military, but because Germany and Japan were allies during WWII they were permitted to live and minister within Japan during the war.

Not only did they all survive with (at most) relatively minor injuries, but they all lived well past that awful day with no radiation sickness, no loss of hearing, or any other visible long term defects or maladies. Naturally, they were interviewed and examined numerous times (Fr. Schiffer, a survivor, said over 200 times) by scientists and health care people about their remarkable experience and they said “we believe that we survived because we were living the message of Fatima. We lived and prayed the rosary daily in that home.” To recount just a few!

Today, we are not fighting the war of guns and missiles, but of biological weapons ravaging the world, should now not be the time to return and seek the mercy of God through the intercession of Our Lady, Blessed Virgin Mary?

Padre Pio called the Rosary beads a weapon of extraordinary power against Satan, and during an exorcism, a colleague of Padre Pio heard the devil saying: “Every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians know how powerful the Rosary is, it would be my end.”

Today more than ever, the world is in need of prayer and meditation. It is in need of prayer because people have forgotten God, and without God, the world has put itself on the edge of a precipice. This is why in Her messages, Our Lady insists so much on prayer. Without God’s help, Satan wins. The world is also in need of meditation because if the great Christian truths are forgotten, souls become void. This void is grabbed up by the enemy, and he fills it with his lies. And today we see the results with widespread belief in superstition and occultism.

Pope Pius XII insisted in his own time: “If you pray the Rosary together, you will experience peace in your families; you will get on together.” “The family that prays together, stays together,” would say Father Peyton, the untiring apostle of the family Rosary. This is the time that the world needs to come together as one family, to pray together in one voice to seek the mercy of God.

The world is covered with darkness, “Satan wants war,” Mary said one day in Medjugorje. But we have the Rosary which is the weapon that is able to guarantee peace for the world because it is a prayer and a form of meditation able to transform hearts and defeat the enemy.

Let us now through the praying of the rosary bring heavenly peace upon our world.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace. The Lord is with You, Blessed are You among women, and blessed is the Fruit of Your Womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen!
